Confined to their mystical cave, Roscoe is raised up by the demon elder in secret. Once he is discovered by three other demons, Roscoe must escape to avoid their wrath. Through desperation, he is forced to escape through the portal that leads back to our world. Unbeknownst to Roscoe, he leads the demons to discover the portal for themselves. Now Showing: THE BURNING & THE PROWLER

Welcome to what will become a regular new thing on my blog. Now Showing - otherwise known as 'I'm much too lazy to write up a proper review or article' - is quite simply where I go take a look at Youtube and post some of my personal favorite movies which you can then enjoy for free. Obviously the quality of most of these movies isn't going to be the greatest but hey, they're free. Today's double feature showcases two of the best slashers from the 80s and in my opinion two of the greatest slashers of all time; THE BURNING & THE PROWLER. Enjoy.

THE BURNING: "A former summer camp caretaker, horribly burned from a prank gone wrong, lurks around an upstate New York summer camp bent on killing the teenagers responsible for his disfigurement"

THE PROWLER: "A masked killer, wearing World War II U.S. Army fatigues, stalks a small New Jersey town bent on reliving a 35-year-old double murder by focusing on a group of college kids holding an annual Spring Dance"

Official Artwork For James Wan's HOUSE OF HORROR

It has been announced at the American Film Market that the James Wan produced HOUSE OF HORROR is currently in pre-production. I must admit I'm looking forward to Wan's next project because he does have quite a decent track record. Let's just hope this follows the tradition. Check out the brand new sales art (courtesy of Bloody Disgusting) below.

Synopsis: “In the aftermath of a horrific massacre, lead Detective, Mark Lewis, and the police department’s psychologist, Dr. Elizabeth Klein, question a suspect for the brutal murder of five college students. THE (D)EVIL MADE HIM DO IT”

Official Trailer & Poster For FROM PARTS UNKNOWN: FIGHT LIKE A GIRL

If zombies, wrestling, girls and gore sound like your idea of a good time then you'll want to make sure you check out FROM PARTS UNKNOWN: FIGHT LIKE A GIRL. Melbourne based Strongman Pictures have been hard at work on the ambitious project for 6 years and it finally seems that it will see the light of day some time in 2013. Head on over to the official Facebook page for more details and check out the press release, along with the official trailer and poster below.

Press Release: “After 6 long years, and many set backs, Melbourne based independent film producers, Strongman Pictures Entertainment, today announced the release of the first trailer for beleaguered independent wrestling-action-horror film FROM PARTS UNKNOWN FIGHT LIKE A GIRL.
“When we began casting in 2007 we didn’t expect 6 years of our lives to be consumed by this film”, says writer, co-producer and director of FROM PARTS UNKNOWN, Daniel Armstrong. “We’ve come through some very dark days, but we’re extremely proud of the fact we persisted and of the end result”.
From inception FROM PARTS UNKNOWN was an ambitious no budget film. Featuring a female wrestler protagonist, zombie-like enemies spawned from a video game, an off beat mix of black humor and slapstick shenanigans, plus plenty of spectacular gore, it was distinctly pitched at a niche market from the outset.
“We’re so keen to get ‘Parts out to an audience”, says Armstrong. “We want to find those people who are fans of things to the left of mainstream with a high tolerance for the sublime and ridiculous. It might take a while to find that crowd, but I think we’ve proven we can handle the long haul!”
FROM PARTS UNKNOWN : FIGHT LIKE A GIRL is expected to have its first screenings in Melbourne next year, and will seek distribution in available markets throughout 2013"
